Riana
Program Manager (UNHCR)
Brief info
My passion for developmental work, particularly in supporting marginalized and
vulnerable people, became clear during my time at the Rape Crisis Society and the
Coalition Against Domestic Violence. While I had always been interested in
developmental work, it was in this role that I discovered my true calling. Working
closely with survivors of gender-based violence and displaced individuals, I found a
deep passion for providing rehabilitation, support services, and legal protection
ensuring that these groups are not only seen and heard but also given the tools and
resources to rebuild their lives. I am passionate about helping vulnerable groups and
addressing situations that often go overlooked or underrepresented. These experiences
reinforced my belief that developmental work must be holistic, focusing on both the
immediate and long-term needs of vulnerable populations. It's about providing not
only legal protection and advocacy but also rehabilitative services and support
systems that empower individuals to move forward with dignity and strength.
